District administration has established its own Rate Counters in shopping malls and mega stores to ensure the provision of quality and cheap products on the officially fixed prices to the people. In this connection, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar, Dr Imran Hamid Sheikh formally inaugurated a Rate Counter at Al-Fateh Mall on University Road.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Shahid Ali Khan, Assistant Commissioner (AC) Mohammad Mughees Sanaullah, all Additional Assistant Commissioners (AACs) and proprietors of shopping malls and mega stores including Al-Fateh Mall were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that he was receiving complaints that most of the mega malls in the district are overcharging the consumers in violation of the officially pricelist. For the redressal of the complaints, he succeeded in persuading the traders for the establishment of such a counter in mega stores to facilitate the people in buying quality products on officially fixed prices.
