Anti-judiciary statement: Plea filed against Ahsan

An application has been filed before the Lahore High Court against former interior minister Ahsan Iqbal in the main petition questioning his "anti-judiciary statement" in response to remarks of the Chief Justice of Pakistan. The applicant Amna Malik through her counsel Azhar Siddique said that anti-judiciary material is excessive on the social media. She said the PEMRA and Press Council of Pakistan all have failed to comply with the court orders.
She asked the court to summon record of all steps taken to control "contemptuous material' available on the social media.
