The incidents of robbery, vehicle lifting and purse snatching registered an upward trend as over 11 cases of various kinds of thefts were reported to various police stations of the city during the last week. According to data gathered by Business Recorder here on Saturday, various police stations of the city registered 11 cases of thefts including robbery and snatching, seven cases of kidnapping and four cases of motor vehicle thefts during the last week.
The most "favourite" areas for the criminal gangs were within the limits of Golra, Sabzi Mandi, Sihala, Tarnol, and Bhara Kahu police stations.
During the last week, Golra police station registered two cases of kidnapping and one case each of robbery and auto theft. One Gulzar Khan filed a complaint with Golra police station that unknown robbers stole an LED and other valuables from his shop. The thieves stole a bike bearing registration number RIL-844 of one Muhammad Safdar.
Another victim Muhammad Riaz filed a complaint with Golra police station that accused Muhammad Ikram has kidnapped his daughter. While one Frukh Murtaza filed a complaint with the same police station that the accused Umer and Sami have kidnapped his daughter.
Sabzi Mandi police station registered one case each of robbery, auto theft and kidnapping during the aforesaid period. One Asghar Mahmood filed a complaint with Sabzi Mandi police station that unknown robbers stole cash, gold ornaments and a mobile phone from his house.
Motor vehicle thieves stole a car bearing registration number SGF-3682 of one Junaid Haroon. Another Gulzar Begum informed Sabzi Mandi police station that the accused Imran has kidnapped his daughter.
During the aforementioned period, Ramna police station registered one case each of robbery and kidnapping. One Subhan Ahmad filed a complaint with Ramna police station that unknown persons have stolen cash and prize bonds from his house. One Sadia informed Ramna police station that accused Muhammad Abdullah and others have kidnapped his daughter.
