Former Sindh chief minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah boycotted a meeting of the Pakistan Peoples Party that was held to sort out differences between Shah and Wassan family on the candidature for National Assembly's constituency NA-208 from Khairpur. Aaj News reported on Saturday that Shah wanted PPP leadership to field his daughter Nafisa Shah in the general election from Khairpur constituency NA-208. Nawab Wassan had also sought the candidacy for that electoral fray.
Nafisa was elected MNA on women's reserved seats while Nawab Wassan had contested 2013 Elections to become MNA from Khairpur. Now, veteran Qaim Ali Shah Jilani has expressed his displeasure over ignoring his recommendation for his daughter.
PPPP president Asif Ali Zardari is reported to have assigned Faryal Talpur to mediate between the Jilani family and Wassan Family but she too failed to woo Qaim who has turned down the party's offer to field nominee from Jilani family for the election to Sindh Assembly from PS-26.
