The city is expected to receive another warm weather spell in the next 48 hours with temperature scaling up to 39 degrees Celsius, the Met Office said on Friday. Weather is likely to remain partly cloudy with temperature touching 38 degrees Celsius with 80 percent humidity on Saturday, June 9. However, the mercury is expected to surge further by one degree Celsius to 39 with a fall in humidity to 70 percent on Sunday, June 10.
The city also received a short spell of drizzle on Friday as the clouds covered the horizons most of the day with breeze. Maximum temperature in the country was recorded in Dadu, Jacobabad and Sukkur 48 degrees Celsius, each.
Isolated rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Lahore, Sahiwal, Multan, DG Khan and Zhob Divisions, Khyber Pukhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Kashmir and its adjoining areas. A very hot and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country on Saturday.
