On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,509. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at USD 5.806 billion and the number of lots traded was 9,763.
Major business was contributed by WTI crude oil amounting to PKR 1.734 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 1.034 billion, NSDQ100 PKR 1.004 billion, gold PKR 844.703 million, platinum PKR 322.267 million, DJ PKR 209.962 million, copper PKR 209.131 million, silver PKR 165.710 million, SP500 PKR 156.841 million, natural gas PKR 86.405 million and Brent crude oil PKR 38.717 million. In agriculture, 8 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 9.159 million were traded.
