Many dilapidated roads in SITE (industrial) area have become unchanged source of nuisance for general public and vehicular traffic. Driving of vehicles has become near to impossible due to big ditches in the roads at many points. It cannot be taken for granted simply because it is a local issue but it has put the image of Pakistan at stake because foreigners too visit the SITE area. Taking the foreign buyers to their factories is an arduous task for the factories' owners.
The road leading to Nauras Chowrangi from Valika textile mill continues to remain dangerous for traveling owing to large craters on it. The government seems to be least interested in improving the conditions of industrial zones. Industrialists think rulers should have preferred spending budget in these areas. They have expressed concern over decaying road network in the SITE area and asked relevant authorities to pay attention to poor condition of infrastructure.
They urged Sindh Minister for Industries to direct the concerned authorities to take cognizance of the deteriorating infrastructure and take urgent measures to improve the quality of roads on priority basis. They demanded of Sindh Governor and Chief Minster to issue directives to all concerned officials for taking necessary measures to begin revamping of road network, so that smooth economic activities are carried out in the SITE area.
