two-day "Haq Haqdar Tak" Sports Gala being sponsored by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and National Heritage (MoIB&NH) began here Wednesday under the aegis of Malik Saad Sports Trust,here at Qayyum Sports Complex.
Project In-charge Khurram Shehzad and Zeeshan Riaz along with Secretary General Malik Saad Sports Trust formally inaugurated the sports events. Badminton and Table Tennis are being organized in Qayyum Sports Complex, Squash at PAF and Cricket will be played at Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium.
On the opening day of the two-day females' table-tennis event, international players Iqra Rehman, Zur Afshan, Hina and Iqra Junior advanced to next round in the singles while in Men's singles Danial beat Asfandiyar by 21-17 and 21-16, Ammad Khalil beat Ahmad by 21-14 and 21-19, Aziz beat Anwar by 21-17 and 21-16. In the Men's singles a total of eight matches decided in the first round.
Secretary KP Table Tennis Association Kifayat Ullah Orakzai, Secretary KP Badminton Association Muhammad Amjad Khan were also present.
