Officials and probationers of 45th Common Training Programme (CTP) undergoing training at Civil Services Academy, Lahore have said that the role of the civil servants is highly critical in strengthening national institutions. They were talking to media during their visit to Ghulam Ishaq Khan (GIK) Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology on Sunday. They told media that no one can deny the vital contribution of the civil servants who always remain vigilant and watchful.
They were led by Muhammad Ali Afzal, a member of the faculty of Civil Services Academy Lahore. The group met Engr. Jehangir Bashar, Rector GIK Institute, Ahsan Basir Sheikh, Pro-Rector (Admin and Finance) and various other officials. The officers included Hafizah Laraib Ghaffar, Zinnia Hussain, Raja Bilal Naseem, Sadaf Fatima, Syed Nasir Mansoor, Syed Raza Ali Kazmi, Zeb-un-Nisa Nasir, Abdul Hanan, Khurram Iqbal, Malik Muhammad Javed Iqbal, Mansoor Ahmed, Muhammad Ahmad Tauqir, Ambreen Ashfaq, Faiza Shafqat, Hafiz Muhammad Ali, Malik Muhammad Danish, Rana Firdous and Saba Afzal. They said that vibrant institutions have strengthened democracy and boost the people confidence about institutions contributions according to the country requirements and people expectations. "The civil servants play a great role in formulation of domestic and foreign policy while keeping in mind the prevailing environment, capability of the country and role of the leadership," said Afzal. He said that at present the officers receive common training at the academy and later they would be imparted special training in their occupational groups which they would join soon. In reply to a question, he said that the visiting officers belong to different groups and they would join different departments
