Terming Imran Khan Niazi as the founder of politics of lies in Pakistan, the Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif Saturday said that those who had shown worst performance in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) are doing the politics of lies and baseless allegations.
Imran should know that no conspiracy of detracting the people through artificial supports cannot succeed, Shahbaz said, adding: "The elements which are leveling allegations and accusations are not well-wishers of the nation. In fact these elements tried to obstruct development and progress at every stage but they faced humiliation and the truth has won finally."
He said opponent of the public development should know that the trick of their negative politics will fail because the people do not give attention to empty slogans, hollow claims and negative politics. During our term, all development projects have no parallel in terms of transparency and top quality and we have make a new history in the country by making savings of billions of rupees in development projects, he claimed.
Shahbaz said the people dislike the politics of allegations and accusations and they want prosperity and development and those obstructing development are enemies of the public. "The people will reject leaders of liars in the 2018 general elections," he said, adding: "We consider public service our religious obligation and today Pakistan is more secure, peaceful, development and strong as compare to the past." He said the people are benefiting from the completion of development projects and we are proceeding forward ignoring those doing negative politics.
Moreover, Shahbaz on Saturday cast his vote for the Senate elections despite bad health. Speaking on the occasion, he said, "Allah willing! Candidates supported by us will win Senate elections." He said democratic institutions have been strengthened due to in time holding of Senate elections while those believe in speculations have been disappointed. Furthermore, Shahbaz has congratulated the PML-N-backed Senate candidates for their victory in the Senate elections.
In his congratulatory message, he said newly-elected senators should utilize their energies for the supremacy of the constitution, rule of law and strengthening of the democratic system and play their effective role in the legislative process. Shahbaz said, he hopes that newly elected senators will come up to the expectations. He said results of the Senate elections have proved that the PML-N is the largest political party of the country and it lives in the hearts of the people.
He said the PML-N cannot be expelled from the hearts of the people through lies. He said for the leaders of the politics of lies and conflicts, the results of the Senate elections are the writing on the wall and the PML-N will sweep the 2018 general polls with more majority than in the 2013 elections.
