Acting President Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said on Wednesday that an evil effort of trading conscience has remained unsuccessful in the past and it will not succeed in the future as well and the prestige and honour of the party will be fully secured.
While addressing the meeting of PML-N Punjab parliamentary party, Shahbaz said they served the people whole heartedly and they will win the 2018 general elections on the basis of its public service and performance. According to him, PML-N has emerged as the most popular party of the country. Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has made this party popular in the public with his hard work and today the PML-N is a representative party of the people in all the four provinces. The people will definitely reward the PML-N in general elections.
Shahbaz said the PML-N public meeting in Peshawar was a reflection of public opinion of the KPK and they [PML-N] will achieve marvellous success there in the next elections. He said silent majority has given its verdict in favour of PML-N in Lodhran. The common man has defeated the owner of palaces and aeroplanes. The multi-billionaire has been defeated and a common man Pir Iqbal, who lives among the masses, has won, he added. He said Imran Niazi has tried to deceive the nation by speaking lies on every occasion.
Shehbaz said saving of Rs 150 billion in four gas-based electricity projects is a unique example in the history of country. He said thousands of kilometres long carpeted roads have been constructed in rural areas with an amount of Rs 90 billion and this has provided tremendous relief to the rural populace. Similarly, subsidized fertilizers and interest-free loans have been given to the farmers for the first time. Provision of high-quality machinery and qualitative medicines in hospitals is another achievement of the PML-N government, he added.
The meeting was attended by Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, Muhammad Hamza Shehbaz MNA, Provincial Ministers, MPAs, Rana Maqbool Ahmad, Haroon Akhtar Khan, Dr Musadaq Malik, Rana Mehmood-ul-Hassan, Khalid Shaheen Butt, Dr Asif Kirmani, Kamran Michael, Dr Asad Ashraf, Nuzhat Amir and others.
Moreover, the parliamentary party of Muslim League-N Punjab, which met under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, here Wednesday adopted a resolution expressing gratitude to Nawaz Sharif for nominating Shehbaz Sharif as PML-N President.
The PML-N Punjab parliamentary party also supported the election of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif as Quaid of PML-N. The meeting paid rich tributes to Shehbaz Sharif which he performed during last many decades under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif for the betterment of the people and the country.
