On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,259. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 6.484 billion and the number of lots traded was 10,729.
Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 1.821 billion, followed by gold PKR 1.391 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.075billion, DJ PKR 697.983 million, NSDQ100 PKR 603.486 million, silver PKR 525.700 million, platinum PKR 223.241 million, copper PKR 53.983 million, natural gas PKR 38.885 million, SP500 PKR 33.889 million, and Brent crude oil PKR 18.987 million. In agricultural commodities, 22 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 9.715 million were traded.
