Pakistan lead against Kiwis after Azhar, Asad’s tons

Pakistan middle order batsmen Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq scored centuries against New Zealand, as the hosts extend its lead against the Kiwis in the third and final Test at Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.

Azhar, who has been consistent in the run making, finally reached three digits. Azhar scored 134 runs in 297 deliveries, his 15th hundred and first since May last year, before being bowled out by William Somerville.

The middle order batsman was joined by Asad who scored 104, his 12th century taking Pakistan, past New Zealand's first inning score of 274, before getting lbw by  Ajaz Patel.

At Tea break, Pakistan's lead by 38 runs with 312 runs at the loss of five wickets, for Kiwis Trent Boult has figures of 2-66 while fellow paceman Tim Southee has taken 1-56.
