On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,031. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 4.773 billion and the number of lots traded was 9,021.
Major business was contributed by gold PKR 2.688 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 975.007 million, WTI crude oil PKR 523.181 million, DJIA PKR 216.863 million, silver PKR 176.782 million, platinum PKR 71.520 million, natural gas PKR 66.598 million, NSDQ100 PKR 40.659 million, copper PKR 7.527 million, SNP500 PKR 3.894 million and Brent crude oil PKR 2.721 million.
In agricultural commodities 26,325 lots of red chilli amounting to PKR 4.738 million were traded.
