The most awaited third addition of the National Youth Carnival (NYC) Mega Challenge-2017 will start today (Saturday) at 30 beautiful decorated different venues inside Peshawar Sports Complex wherein 2000 female and male from all across Pakistan would compete. This was stated by KP Sports Minister Mehmood Khan while addressing a press conference here at Lala Rafique Sports Arena on Friday soon after inspecting all the venues.
Secretary Sports, Tourism and Youth Affairs Muhammad Tariq Khan, Director General (DG) Sports Junaid Khan, Director Youth Asfandyar Khan Khattak were also present. "We are eagerly waiting to say warm welcome to the youth coming to Peshawar, a 2500 years old historical living City from various educational institutions including seminaries from across Pakistan for this mega youth event of the country," Mehmood Khan said.
The NYC Mega Challenge-2017, is the biggest event of the youth of Pakistan which also carrying a prize money of Rs 5 million. Mehmood Khan said that this time they have widen up the pool of the NYC by involving maximum number students of the colleges, public and private sectors Universities and Madaras of the country. He said KP government for the time in the history announced youth policy and for youth development and youth activities a grant of Rs 1 billion has been allocated.
NYC is one of such activity introduced for the first time by the government of KP in Pakistan in way back 2013, similarly such event was also organized in 2016 and now the number of youth participation reached to more than 35000.
Along with the competition, an international standard Education Expo participating by World renown educational institutions and Multi-National firm will provide due awareness to the youth for their carrier building and future aspects.
The youth will compete this time in the event like drama, thematic art, painting, calligraphy, short film, Urdu, English, Pashto singing, cultural dance, music band, Qiraat, spelling bee, sell-it, Na'at, English, Urdu Declamation, Urdu essay writing, Pashto essay writing, bait bazi, quiz competition, business plan, ad making, stand up comedy, extra ordinary/unique talent, console gaming (FIFA-2017), Chess and Spot Photography.
