The Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF) Friday announced the Pakistan men's netball team to participate in the forthcoming Asian Men's Netball Championship 2017 to be held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from December 13-17, 2017. President Pakistan Netball Federation Mudassar Arain has thanked Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination, Government of Pakistan and Pakistan Sports Board for issuing No Objection Certificate (NOC) to the team. However, he said, the Malaysian Consulate has also issued the visas to the Pakistan netball team.
The Pakistan contingent is consisted on 17 members, he said, adding that PNF nominated Muhammad Akhtar and Samad Masood as team captain and vice caption. Pakistan will play first match against Singapore on December 13 at 10.00 am, followed with match against India, Hong Kong and Malaysia on December 13 at 6.00 pm, on December 14 and 15. The team will leave for Malaysia on December 11, 2017, he added.
He disclosed that Pakistan got a silver medal in last Asian Men's Netball Championship in 2016 at the same venue and hopefully the team this time will also reached to the victory stand in this mega event, Mudassar Arain said.
