Pakistani pacer Mohammad Sami has been cleared of all allegations in spot-fixing case by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), it has been learnt. PCB anti-corruption tribunal heard Sami's case on Friday. He was summoned at the PCB headquarters in Lahore. Sami appeared before the tribunal and several questions were raised regarding the case against him. After recording his statement, Sami was informed that he will be summoned again in future if there is any need for it.
Sami plays for Islamabad United in Pakistan Super League (PSL). Openers Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif have already been suspended by the PCB for five years after the tribunal found them guilty of playing a role in the spot-fixing.
Earlier this week, Mohammad Irfan was set to testify against Shahzaib Hasan before the PCB's anti-corruption tribunal but the hearing was adjourned due to the absence of Shahzaib Hasan's counsel.
