Provincial Ameer, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan has urged the JUI-F Chief, Maulana Fazlur Rehman to support recently announced FATA reforms and demanded local government elections in FATA as soon as possible. Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, the JI provincial Amir Mushaq Ahmad Khan termed the FATA reforms as historical victory of the tribesmen.
He asked the federal government to reduce the powers of the governor and bureaucracy and transfer of all powers in FATA to KP Assembly and members of the parliament.
The JI leader demanded a development package of Rs 100 billion for FATA and called for the completion of repatriation of displaced tribesmen before the end of April this year.
