A popular stage actress Kismat Baig died in a local hospital late night on Thursday after receiving several bullet injuries. As per details, Kismat was leaving for home along with her secretary Ali, 32, after a stage performance early in the morning when the assailants attacked them. On receiving information about the incident, police and rescue officials rushed to the spot and shifted them to the hospital.
According to police sources, Kismat received over eight bullet injuries while her driver received only one. The sources said most of bullets were shot in her legs to make her disable. The police officials claimed that no robbery attempt was observed during the incident. On the complaint of victim's mother, the police have registered a case against unknown persons and started investigation. Earlier, she was also attacked in Faisalabad.
