The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) signed a contract equivalent to US $25 million with M/s ETERN - CCCE - HEI, a consortium of three Chinese Companies, for up-gradation of the existing Switchyard of Tarbela Hydel Power Station for dispersal of electricity from Tarbela Hydel Power Station after completion of the 1410 MW-Tarbela 4thExtension Hydropower Project.
As per the contract, up-gradation of Tarbela Switchyard will be completed by the end of May 2017. The contract signing ceremony was held today here at WAPDA House. WAPDA Chairman Zafar Mahmood, WAPDA Member (Water) Muhammad Shoaib Iqbal, Member (Power) Badr-ul-Munir Murtiza, Member (Finance) Anwar-ul-Haq, Tarbela Dam Project General Manager Iqbal Masood Siddiqui and other senior officers of WAPDA were also present on the occasion.-PR
