Justice Ashraf Jahan sworn-in as FSC judge

Justice Mrs Ashraf Jahan, spouse of the Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, on Saturday took oath as judge of the Federal Shariat Court (FSC). Chief Justice of the FSC, Riaz Ahmed Khan, administrated the oath. Justice Ashraf Jahan joined the judicial service as Civil Judge and First Class Magistrate on May 5, 1987 and was promoted as District and Sessions Judge, Karachi East on April 4, 2003. She was elevated as Additional Judge of the Sindh High Court on August 31, 2013 and was appointed as the first-ever female judge of the FSC on December 30, 2013.
