The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Punjab on Thursday initiated an inquiry against Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashood. DG NAB Punjab Syed Burhanuddin said there were several allegations of corruption against the minister including the video scandal and youth festival cases. It is worth mentioning that in August 2014 video of Mashhood surfaced in which he was allegedly involved in corrupt activities.
He has also been accused of financial irregularities in the Punjab Youth Festivals. However Mashood had denied the allegations. NAB had started collecting evidence into the video scandal and decided to launch a formal inquiry after proof pertaining to the case was found.
