The Lahore High Court has rejected a bail petition by a prime terror man suspected of being part of the al Qaeda in Lahore. In his defence, Hasan Zaheer told the court on Wednesday that he had nothing to do with terror and that he had no links with the terror group. He said the Counter-Terrorism Department had arrested him on fake information and that it lacked solid evidence.
The suspect has been in custody since June. But the prosecution has opposed his arguments, saying police and other law enforcement agencies had arrested him red-handed while collecting donations for the terror group.
