The Vice Chancellor LUMHS Professor Noshad A Shaikh was nominated for the "Avicenna Gold Medal 2015" at United Kingdom. On behalf of the Brain Trust United Kingdom, the President of the trust Professor Dr Ahmed Ali Khan presented the Gold Medal to Professor Noshad A. Shaikh in a formal gathering held at LUMHS on Wednesday.
Professor Ahmad Ali Khan said that he had specially came from United Kingdom to deliver the Gold medal as Professor Noshad Shaikh could not attend the Award Ceremony which was held on 31st May at Phyllis Court Club on the banks of the River at Henley on Thames United Kingdom. He further said that the Gold medal has been awarded to the Vice Chancellor in recognition to his contribution to Health care delivery system, meritorious services to surgery, effort to promote mental health in the province of Sindh, by displaying outstanding leadership & management in a developing country.
