Romania sells 331mn lei of June 2021 bonds

BUCHAREST: Romania sold a slightly more than planned 331 million lei ($83.26 million) worth of June 2021 treasury bonds on Thursday, with the average accepted yield at 4.44 percent, central bank data showed.

Debt managers last sold the issue in November of last year at an average yield of 3.68 percent. They sold Oct. 2021 bonds in July at 4.67 percent.

So far this year, Romania has sold just over 21 billion lei and 361 million euros of domestic debt. It also tapped foreign markets for 2.0 billion euros of 2028 and 2030 Eurobonds, as well as $1.2 billion of 2048 dollar bonds.
