KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Wednesday at 23,150.48 points with a positive change of 278.15 and volume of 132,589,800 shares. High and Low were 23,180.42 and 22,775.51 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 24 were up, 6 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 278,401,400 shares. Total companies traded were 381 of which 229 were positive, 136 were negative and 16 were unchanged.

Textile Spinning was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 45,425,600 shares. It was followed by Cement with a total traded volume of 39,625,800 shares.

The top three advancers were Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 1,520 and price per share of 3,045 (145.00), Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 80 and price per share of 2,327.99 (77.65), Bata Pakistan Limited with a volume of 120 and price per share of 1,880 (51.00).

The top three decliners were Nestle Pakistan Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 10,500 (-199.00), Siemens (Pakistan) Engineering Company Ltd. with a volume of 940 and price per share of 967.25 (-50.90), Atlas Honda Ltd with a volume of 4,300 and price per share of 446.50 (-23.50).
