KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Friday at 21,054.38 points with a positive change of 12.75 and volume of 65,225,900 shares. High and Low were 21,289.61 and 21,021.57 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 13 were up, 16 were down and 1 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 124,749,820 shares. Total companies traded were 339 of which 190 were positive, 128 were negative and 21 were unchanged.

Commercial Banks was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 45,389,700 shares. It was followed by Chemicals with a total traded volume of 12,204,780 shares.

The three top traded companies were Bank of Punjab Ltd with a volume of 18,691,000 and price per share of 12.14 (0.66), Engro Polymer & Chemicals (R) with a volume of 5,473,000 and price per share of 5.81 (-0.34), K-Electric Limited with a volume of 5,427,500 and price per share of 5.30 (0.05).

The top three advancers were Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 2,889.99 (119.99), Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 2,150 (79.37), Mari Petroleum Company Limited with a volume of 7,440 and price per share of 1,433.53 (32.31).

The top three decliners were Jubilee Life Insurance Company Limited with a volume of 5,450 and price per share of 665 (-34.98), Colgate-Palmolive (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 180 and price per share of 2,919.78 (-20.22), Indus Motor Company Limited with a volume of 29,820 and price per share of 1,321.79 (-18.72).
