Ninth Cabinet Committee's meeting on GSP Plus was held under the chairmanship of Minister for Industries, Chaudhry Muhammad Shafique at Civil Secretariat. Minister for Labour & Human Resource, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar, provincial secretaries and officials of Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) also attended the meeting.
Chief Executive Officer, Punjab Board of Investment and Trade, Muhammad Ilyas Ghauri commenced the meeting by presenting the agenda and apprised the participants about the steps taken by PBIT in coherence with objectives decided in the eighth Cabinet Committee meeting.
Key discussions during the meeting were regarding the improvements required in co-ordination between provincial and federal departments with respect to the consolidation and forward submission of reports. It was also suggested that in order to review and prepare proposals for implementation of Cabinet Committee decisions, a sub-committee, comprising experts, should be formed.
