PIA has opened its second Training Centre at Rawalpindi for imparting training to the youth of Pakistan in the field of Aircraft Maintenance. The Training Centre was inaugurated by Advisor to Prime Minister on Aviation, Shujaat Azeem and senior officials of the airline.
On the occasion Shujaat Azeem said "in line with Prime Minister's Youth Programme, PIA will establish 12 training centres before mid 2015 to reach out to our youth in all major cities and to offer this rewarding opportunity." He said "in two years our youth can earn a respectable livelihood as senior Technicians and in another three years they can become full fledge certifying Aircraft Maintenance Engineers."
"It will enable them to grab employment opportunities in airline industry within country and abroad as well, he added. He congratulated PIA management on this accomplishment. The airline has already opened a Training Centre in Lahore and now in Rawalpindi with more branches to be opened in all provinces, wherein two years training shall be imparted in Aerospace and Avionics.
PIA is going to launch Nawabshah and Swat wings by end of November and Peshawar and Quetta Training Campuses before December 31. PIA since last four decades is imparting trainings in all aviation disciplines including flight operations, engineering & maintenance, flight services, customer services, and airline marketing etc. Training is being provided on all latest aircraft like Boeing 777, A320 and ATR, as well as classic aircraft like Boeing 747,737 & Airbus A310.-PR
