KP caretaker CM to give salaries, allowances for welfare of poor, destitute children

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunhwa Caretaker Chief Minister Dost Mohammad Tuesday announced to give his monthly salaries and allowances to provincial department of Social Welfare to spend on destitute and poor segment of the society.

Presiding over a meeting of Social Welfare department here, he emphasized upon setting up of social welfare department in each district of the province besides, directing to strengthen the security of Dar-ul-Aman across the province and moral trainings of the staff.

The caretaker CM expressed annoyance over undue delay in preparation of a policy for transgenders and directed the relevant department to finalize it within a week.

He directed for the need driven expansion of social welfare institutions at districts level, improving security in darul amaan and proper training of officials.

He also directed for a universal access number to register the complaints of female harassment and sell and purchase of acids indicating the promulgation of an ordinance by his government soon.

He also talked against early marriages and professional beggars and wished to properly investigate the issues in order to make a legally just decision.

Directing to discourage beggars and beggary, he said the disabled should be shifted to rehabilitation centres while the mafia using beggars as shield for illegal earnings be taken to task.

He directed to make darulamaan of Chitral functional and arrange all treatment facilities. He also added to properly showcase different items of special children and bring newness to the industrial training Centers of the development.

Dost Muhammad directed to create awareness among the women to get easy access to the institutions responsible for mitigating the grievances of the women and giving them relief and safety.

He directed to collect data about the chronic diseases so that the safety measures could be taken for the health of children.

Referring to the initiative of previous PTI led KP government of giving monthly stipend to mosques clerics, he wished that the provincial government should establish its own Islamic centres and Madaris producing Islamic scholars of repute saying that giving stipend would never serve the real purpose of gaining Islamic education.
