LAHORE: The Supreme Court (SC) on Sunday summoned Hamza Shehbaz and Ayesha Ahad for June 11 (Monday).
The bench, headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, passed the orders while hearing a suo motu notice of a complaint filed by Ayesha Ahad.
Ayesha Ahad's counsel submitted that the police had registered a case against Hamza Shehbaz and others but no arrest was made so far, in response to a court query. She further submitted that Hamza Shehbaz has returned from abroad.
At this, the bench summoned Hamza Shehbaz and Ayesha Ahad for June 11.
Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar had taken a suo motu on a complaint of Ayesha Ahad Malik, who had approached him against delay in her cases and threats to her and her daughter's lives.
Last week, the CJP had ordered the Punjab IGP to provide security to Ayesha Ahad Malik, who claims herself to be the wife of PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz, and had also ordered for registration of a case as per orders of sessions court against all those involved in torture of Ms Malik and her daughter.
