Karachi remained in grip of fear for the second consecutive day following MQM chief Altaf Hussain's arrest in London. Almost all commercial and social activities remained suspended in the city on Wednesday as well as petrol pumps, CNG stations, educational institutions, markets, offices, shops, and tea stalls. Transport was very thin. However, no untoward incident was reported from any part of the city.
