Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui has said that the district administration will support Naval police, traffic police and district police in traffic management on important city roads of, whereas lane marking will be done at Dalmia, Karsaz, Lucky Star, Shahra-e-Faisal and Gizri. To bring awareness among public about lane markings, bill boards will be displayed on different roads. The commissioner was presiding over a meeting in this connection at his office, said a statement issued here on Wednesday.
The Commissioner further said the administration in co-operation with Rangers, police, district police and traffic police should start crackdown against green number plates, tinted windows, blue lights and vehicles carrying arms. The efforts of traffic police regarding traffic management in the city were appreciated during meeting. The meeting was attended by DIG Traffic Arif Hanif, Additional Commissioner Karachi-1 Muhammad Aslam Khoso, Deputy Commissioner South Mustafa Jamal Qazi, Commander Pakistan Navy TI(M) Rizwan Ahmed,Additional Deputy Commissioner East Syed Junaid Ahmed and other officials.-PR
