KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Thursday at 22,773.25 points with a negative change of -180.40 and volume of 45,676,000 shares. High and Low were 22,968.55 and 22,717.59 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 6 were up, 23 were down and 1 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 127,171,280 shares. Total companies traded were 337 of which 111 were positive, 198 were negative and 28 were unchanged.

Commercial Banks was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 29,774,000 shares. It was followed by Investment Banks/investment Co with a total traded volume of 16,828,500 shares.

The top three advancers were Unilever Pakistan Food Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 8,379 (381.00), Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 900 and price per share of 2,999.57 (99.57), Khyber Textile Mills Ltd with a volume of 2,000 and price per share of 317.08 (15.09).

The top three decliners were Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 8,000 (-200.00), Colgate-Palmolive (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 2,850 (-150.00), Bata Pakistan Limited with a volume of 320 and price per share of 2,058.53 (-90.47).
