MADRID: Spanish national consumer prices rose 1.1 percent year-on-year in February according to data from the National Statistics Institute on Tuesday, compared to 0.6 percent rise in January and in line with a Reuters poll.
Spanish European Union-harmonised prices rose 1.2 percent from a year earlier, also in line with a preliminary reading.
Core inflation, which strips out volatile food and energy prices, was 1.1 percent year on year, compared to a reading of 0.8 percent a month earlier.
