KARACHI: Ghani Chem World Limited has clarified that it holds sufficient inventory to meet domestic sales requirements despite the suspension of its production activities due to disruptions affecting export orders and maritime routes in the Gulf.

In a clarification submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company said its existing inventory remained available for sale in the domestic market and that the suspension of manufacturing should be viewed in conjunction with the availability of this stock.

The company said exports had been envisaged as a principal driver of its business and growth. However, the ongoing situation in the Gulf, including disruptions to maritime routes and congestion at ports, had affected both exports and imports, preventing it from fulfilling export orders and leading to the suspension of production.

Ghani Chem World said it intended to sell its accumulated inventory in the local market during the production suspension. It added that while fresh production remained suspended, existing stock provided a basis for domestic sales, subject to prevailing demand and market conditions.

Ghani Chem World said it would inform shareholders through the PSX when production resumed and communicate further material developments as appropriate.
