India's Adani Enterprises eyes $210 mln fundraise via rupee debt, bankers say
- 'The company would look for an issuance of below five-year maturity, and may aim to complete the sale within this quarter,' bankers says
MUMBAI: The flagship firm of India’s Adani group, Adani Enterprises, plans to raise around 20 billion rupees ($210 million) through the sale of short-duration bonds, two merchant bankers directly aware of the transaction said on Tuesday.
“The company would look for an issuance of below five-year maturity, and may aim to complete the sale within this quarter,” one of the bankers said.
The funds are being raised for general corporate purposes, the bankers said, adding that the details are yet to be finalised.
The bankers requested anonymity as they are not authorised to speak to the media. The company did not reply to a Reuters email seeking comment.

The fundraise comes after CareEdge Ratings last week upgraded the firm’s long-term rating by one notch to AA from AA-, reflecting the strengthened financial risk profile of the firm.
At the start of 2026, the company had raised 10 billion rupees, which was its third public issue of debt, after tapping that route first in September 2024 and later in July 2025.
The company last tapped private corporate debt in October 2025, when it raised 10 billion rupees through the sale of bonds maturing in two years and six months at a semi-annual coupon of 8.70%.
