LAHORE: In line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz to enhance Punjab’s international profile, the Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), also known as Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab), is accelerating preparations for the proposed Diplomatic Enclave at CBD Bab District.

Chief Executive Officer CBD Punjab Imran Amin visited the Bab-e-Pakistan site to review the ongoing preparatory activities for the proposed project.

During the visit, he inspected the area where initial site-clearing work has been carried out and reviewed the progress of preliminary development activities. CBD Punjab has also initiated work on the design of the Diplomatic Enclave to advance the project’s planning and development process.

Spread over approximately 374 kanals, the proposed Diplomatic Enclave is envisioned as a dedicated diplomatic destination with facilities for foreign diplomatic missions, including those of the United States, China and other countries. The project is expected to strengthen Punjab’s international engagement by providing a purpose-built environment for diplomatic representation and fostering opportunities for international cooperation and investment.

Speaking on the occasion, CEO CBD Punjab Imran Amin stated that the Diplomatic Enclave would be an important step towards positioning Punjab as a destination for international diplomatic engagement and investment. He emphasized that CBD Punjab remains committed to advancing the Chief Minister’s vision through modern urban planning, world-class infrastructure and sustainable development initiatives that contribute to the province’s economic growth and strengthen its international standing.

During the same visit, CEO CBD Punjab, Imran Amin, also inspected the development progress at CBD Walk, where he reviewed the exterior finishing of the buildings and ongoing work at CBD Lake.

The relevant teams briefed him that asphalt work on the main road at CBD Walk had been completed, while marble installation along the foundation and sloping sections of CBD Lake was in progress. The CEO CBD Punjab reviewed the ongoing activities and emphasized the importance of maintaining quality standards and ensuring timely progress across the project components.

Director Project Management Asif Iqbal, Director Architecture and Planning Sameer Aftab Sial, Director Construction, Asif Iqbal and officers from the relevant departments were also present during the visit.
