KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 120,725 tonnes of Cargo Comprising 77,978 tonnes of Import Cargo and 42,747 tonnes of Export Cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The Total Import Cargo of 77,978 tonnes Comprised of 21,535 tonnes of Containerized Cargo,278 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo,2,920 tonnes of (Dap),1,711 tonnes of General Cargo, 3,991 tonnes of Mop, 1,743 tonnes of Soya Bean Seeds,& 45,800 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The Total Export Cargo of 42,747 tonnes Comprised of 28,831 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 698 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo,& 13,218 tonnes of Clinkers.
Around, 06 ships namely, MT Shalamar, Mol Earnest, Lucia, Zhong Lian Shan Tou, MT Sargodha, & Helen bulker berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Approximately, 08 ships namely, Oocl Jakarta, MT Mardan, Ruyi ii, Dp World Jebel Ali, Newsun Unity, Ocean Gaea, & sailed from Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of nine ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two ships, CXL-66 and Hansa Africa left the port on Thursday morning, while another ship ‘Elisabeth’ expected to sail on Thursday afternoon.
Cargo volume of 162,646 tones comprising 128,088 tones imports cargo and 34,558 export cargo carried in 3,609 Containers (1,660 TEUs Imports & 1,949 TEUs Export)was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 15 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them three ships, BSG Bimini, Grand Ace-11 and New Horizon carrying Container, Palm oil and Coal are expected to take berths QICT, MW-1 and PIBT respectively on Thursday 8th October, 2026.
