Sri Lankan shares closed higher on Tuesday, helped by gains led by IT stocks

The CSE All Share index settled up 0.29% at 20,650.23

Serendib Hotels PLC and Ambeon Holdings PLC were the top percentage gainers on the CSE All Share index, rising 9.2% and 7.7%, respectively.

Trading volume on the CSE All Share index declined to 43.1 million shares from 67.6 million in the previous session.

The equity market’s turnover fell to 1.07 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($3.23 million) from 3.16 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.

Foreign investors were net sellers, offloading stocks worth 115.4 million rupees, while domestic investors were net buyers, purchasing shares worth 979.5 million rupees, the data showed.
