BUCHAREST: Romania's trade deficit widened by roughly a third on the year in January to 775 million euros ($954.49 million), the National Statistics Board said on Monday.
The shortfall in January of last year stood at 605 million euros.
The statistics board said January CIF (cost/insurance/freight) imports were roughly 6.2 billion euros, up 17.3 percent on the year, while exports were roughly 5.42 billion, up 15.9 percent.
