Pakistan releases special song to mark National Day of Saudi Arabia

  • It also highlights fraternal relations between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia as well as Makkah defence agreement
Published Updated

Pakistan has released a special song, “Ek Doojay Kay Dil-o-Jaan” to mark National Day of Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi National Day, celebrated on September 23, marks the 1932 unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Glowing tribute has been paid to the enduring bond between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in the song released by the military’s media wing on Wednesday.

Featuring a beautiful melody, the new Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) song conveys a message of friendship and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in both Urdu and Arabic languages.

It also highlights the long lasting friendship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, their fraternal relations and Makkah Joint Defence Agreement.

The melody of “Ek Doojay Kay Dil-o-Jaan” embodies the message of Pakistan-Saudi friendship, a commitment to peace, and shared values.

The new song is a testament to strong fraternal bond extending from the land of Pakistan to the holy land of Saudi Arabia.

Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations are characterized by strong historical, fraternal, and strategic ties, evolving significantly in recent years. Saudi Arabia has provided substantial economic support, including renewing $3 billion deposits and offering petroleum products. A notable shift from traditional aid to investment is underway, with Saudi Arabia planning to invest $5 billion in Pakistan, including about $1 billion in the Reko Diq mining project. Discussions also include augmenting investments to $10 billion and increasing deposits to $5 billion.

A landmark mutual defence pact was signed in September 2025, formalizing and deepening security cooperation. This commitment was underscored in March 2026, when Pakistan affirmed it would aid Saudi Arabia “no matter what, no matter when” amid regional tensions, and later sent fighter jets and military forces to the Kingdom under the defence pact in April 2026. Both nations regularly discuss regional peace, stability, and enhance cooperation across trade, energy, and defence sectors.
