Security forces killed 11 terrorists in intelligence-based operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, recovering weapons and destroying hideouts, with leaders praising the efforts against terrorism.

Security forces killed 11 terrorists in separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, Aaj News reported on Thursday citing security sources.
The operations were carried out in Bannu and South Waziristan districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Khuzdar district of Balochistan against terrorists linked to Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan, according to the sources.
Two terrorists were killed during an operation in Bannu. Security forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from their possession and destroyed their hideout, the sources said.
In another intelligence-based operation in the Ladha area of South Waziristan, security forces killed five terrorists after detecting their movement and effectively engaging them, the sources added.
Meanwhile, four terrorists were killed in an operation in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district. According to security sources, the terrorists were targeted using quadcopters.
Clearance operations were continuing in the respective areas following the operations to eliminate any remaining militant presence.
Security sources said all possible measures were taken during the operations to protect the lives and property of civilians and ensure that the local population remained unharmed.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the security forces for the successful operation against terrorists in Bannu.
The president said the elimination of externally backed terrorist elements was imperative, reiterating Pakistan’s resolve to eradicate the scourge of terrorism. He said the nation took pride in its security forces and law enforcement agencies.
Prime Minister Shehbaz also lauded the security forces for the successful operation and commended them for killing the terrorists.
He said the entire nation stood alongside the security forces in the fight against terrorism and reaffirmed the government’s resolve to eliminate all forms of terrorism from the country.
