KARACHI: Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) and Pakistan Single Window (PSW) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to digitalise the collection of Cargo Throughput Charges (CTC) on air shipments.

Under the agreement, CTC payments will be integrated with the PSW platform, replacing manual and paper-based procedures with a fully digital process. The new system will enable electronic payments, automated document verification, and real-time visibility of CTC collections for stakeholders.

The digital CTC collection system will go live at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, on August 27.

The MoU was signed by Director Commercial PAA Abdul Basit on behalf of Pakistan Airports Authority, and Chief Domain Officer Naveed Abbas Memon on behalf of Pakistan Single Window.

Officials said the shift is expected to cut down paperwork, reduce bank visits and queues, and improve transparency and efficiency in the collection process.
