RAWALPINDI: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that Balochistan and Pakistan share the same present and future and will always remain connected.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the field marshal made the remarks during a special meeting with prominent figures and political leaders from Balochistan.

Speaking to the province’s political leadership, Field Marshal Asim Munir said hostile elements were using proxies to undermine peace and development in Balochistan.

He described the groups referred to as Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan as proxies backed by hostile elements. He said these forces were trying to halt development in Balochistan and create a gap between the state and the people.

Field Marshal Asim Munir stressed that lasting peace and stability were essential for using Balochistan’s full economic potential. He said peace and stability in the province were necessary to encourage investment and turn its human and natural resources into greater prosperity for its people.

According to the ISPR’s press release issued here on Friday, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir interacted with notables and political leadership of Balochistan.

During the interaction, the Field Marshal underscored that the present and future of Balochistan and Pakistan are one and forever. He highlighted that Balochistan is blessed with talented, resilient, patriotic and proud people.

He emphasised that a clear national narrative and enduring peace and stability are fundamental to unlocking the province’s true economic potential, attracting investment and translating its abundant human and natural resources into tangible prosperity for its people.

The Field Marshal stressed that there is no dearth of talent or opportunities amongst the youth of Balochistan, who remain the most vibrant and promising segment of our society. He emphasised that empowering the youth and providing them opportunities to contribute to national progress remain central to sustainable development.

COAS and CDF Field Marshal Asim Munir stated that Fitna al Khawarij and Fitna al Hindustan are foreign-sponsored proxies being employed by hostile elements to destabilise Balochistan, obstruct its development and create a wedge between the state and its people.

He reiterated that these inimical designs will be defeated through the collective resolve of the nation and an unwavering, resolute and decisive response by the state.

Field Marshal Asim Munir appreciated the role of the notables and society leaders of Balochistan in promoting peace, strengthening social cohesion and advancing a constructive national discourse.

He emphasised the need to holistically and without hesitation counter hostile propaganda, expose false narratives and project the true potential, progress and aspirations of Balochistan and its people. He underscored that the destiny of Balochistan rests only in the hands of the people of Balochistan.
