ISLAMABAD: Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University (STMU), Islamabad, organised a prestigious Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference on the theme “Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) as a Role Model for Humanity – Guidance for All Times,” bringing together distinguished leaders, scholars, professionals, academicians and representatives from different walks of life.

The conference was graced by Prof Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, as the Chief Guest, while Hon’ble Justice Syed Muhammad Anwar, Chief Justice, Federal Shariat Court of Pakistan, attended as the Guest of Honour.

The Conference was addressed by Prof Dr Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Vice Chancellor, Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University, and Zia Ul Mustafa Awan, President, House of Professionals, along with distinguished Deans and senior academicians of the University, including Dr Amir, Dr Amna, Dr Raisa Gul, Dr Nayyer and Dr Tauseef, as well as renowned speakers and eminent personalities from industry and academia.

The speakers highlighted the universal and timeless relevance of the Seerah Mubarak of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW), emphasizing that His exemplary life provides comprehensive guidance not only in matters of faith and personal character but also in leadership, governance, education, healthcare, business ethics, social justice, economic affairs, peace, diplomacy and human relationships.

Addressing contemporary challenges, the speakers stressed that the principles demonstrated by the Holy Prophet (SAWW)—including justice, compassion, integrity, tolerance, accountability, equality and service to humanity—remain equally relevant for individuals, institutions and societies today.

The conference provided a valuable platform for scholars, professionals and institutional leaders to reflect on how the teachings and practices of the Holy Prophet (SAWW) can be translated into practical approaches for addressing modern-day social, economic, professional and governance challenges.

The event concluded with the message that Seerah-un-Nabi (SAWW) is not confined to any particular era, society or profession; rather, it offers a complete and enduring model for humanity and guidance for all times.

Through this initiative, Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University reaffirmed its commitment to promoting values-based education, ethical leadership and societal development inspired by the timeless teachings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW).
