KAMPALA: Uganda’s export earnings rose 11.3% year-on-year in June, helped by higher shipments of commodities including gold and cotton, the finance ministry said in a report.
Export earnings rose to $1.28 billion from $1.15 billion in June 2025, the ministry said in a report seen by Reuters on Thursday.
The growth was primarily driven by higher earnings from shipments of gold and cotton.
The value of gold shipments surged 43.5% to $685 million in June.
