LAHORE: The local cotton market on Tuesday remained tight and the trading volume remained satisfactory.
Cotton Analyst Naseem Usman told Business Recorder that after the deferring of the transporters strike the supply has improved.
He also told that the rate of cotton in Sindh is in between Rs 18,300 to Rs 18,500 per maund, while Phutti in the province is trading between Rs 8,300 to Rs 8,400 per 40 kilograms.
In Punjab, cotton rates stand between Rs 18,800 to Rs 19,000 per maund, with Phutti fetching between Rs 8,400 to Rs 9,200 per 40 kilograms.
The rate of cotton in Balochistan is in between Rs 18,500 to Rs 18,600 per maund. The rate of Phutti is in between Rs 8,600 to Rs 9,600 per 40 kg.
