KARACHI: President of the North Karachi Association of Trade and Industry (NKATI), Faisal Moeez Khan, has endorsed the recent statement of the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations, saying that adopting a comprehensive national strategy is essential to effectively counter the country’s renewed wave of terrorism.

He stated that the ISPR DG had rightly pointed out that military action alone could not eliminate terrorism; strong governance, effective state institutions, and public confidence were equally indispensable.

Faisal Moeez Khan said that good governance was the cornerstone of sustainable peace, economic stability, and national development.

He said that transparency, the rule of law, accountability, efficient public service delivery, and a responsive administrative system were critical to overcoming not only terrorism but also other pressing national challenges.

He urged both the federal and provincial governments to prioritize institutional reforms and public welfare initiatives.

He further stated that loyalty to the state is the constitutional, national, and moral responsibility of every citizen.

In current circumstances, the entire nation must rise above political differences and play a constructive role in strengthening national security, economic resilience, and social cohesion.

He added that industrialists, the business community, civil society, and all state institutions must work together to build a stronger, more prosperous, and stable Pakistan.

The NKATI president also observed that Pakistan’s population had increased many-fold since Independence, while the number of provinces had remained unchanged.

He said that for better governance, administrative efficiency, and improved public service delivery, the proposal for the creation of new provinces deserved serious consideration.

According to him, modernizing the country’s administrative structure in line with present-day requirements would enable faster decision-making, balanced regional development, and improved public services for the people across Pakistan.
