OGRA raises LPG price by Rs13/kg for August 2026

OGRA has announced significant price hikes for both LPG and RLNG. LPG prices increased by Rs12.89/kg for August, while RLNG transmission and distribution rates rose by up to 36% for July.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Friday increased the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for August 2026 by Rs12.89 per kilogram, raising the price of an 11.8kg domestic cylinder by Rs152.01 with effect from August 1.
According to OGRA notification, the consumer price of LPG was fixed at Rs254,315.35 per tonne, or Rs3,000.92 for 11.8kg domestic cylinder for August, compared with Rs241,432.84 per tonne and Rs2,848.91 per cylinder in July.

Similarly, the producer price was increased to Rs213,015.35 per tonne from Rs200,132.84 per tonne in July. The producer price of 11.8kg cylinder rose to Rs2,513.58 from Rs2,361.57, reflecting an increase of Rs152.01.
The revised prices will come into effect from August 1, 2026, and will remain applicable throughout the month.
RLNG prices rise up to 36% for July 2026
The OGRA also notified a sharp increase in the prices of Re-gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) for July 2026, raising transmission and distribution rates for both Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL).

According to the notification, the SNGPL transmission price was increased to $23.7020 per MMBtu from $17.9394 per MMBtu in June, up 32.12%, while its distribution price rose 32.35% to $25.8388 per MMBtu from $19.5228 per MMBtu.
For SSGCL, the transmission price climbed to $22.2251 per MMBtu from $16.3679 per MMBtu, marking a 35.78% increase. Its distribution price rose 34.62% to $25.0872 per MMBtu, compared with $18.6360 per MMBtu in June.
OGRA said the revised RLNG prices had been determined in accordance with the federal government’s policy guidelines and would take effect from July 1, 2026.
